Ruben Martinez
Ruben Martinez began performing at Chula Vista’s SCPA as a vocal major, it was there that he discovered dance. Ruben continued to dance at Southwestern College as a dance major, progressing in technique and choreographing four pieces. It was there that he was awarded Best Student Choreographer under the direction of Mary Jo Horvath. During Rubens studies he began to train with Paz Soriano through the Imperial Society of Teachers Dancing, preparing for annual examinations and certifications. In 2011 Martinez joined LaDiego Dance Theater as a contemporary ballet company directed by Daniel Marshall.
